Regarding foreign students applying for Alien Resident Permits, starting August 1, 2021, all applications will be processed through the Ministry of the Interior's National Immigration Agency's "Online Application System for Foreign and Alien Students," and in-person applications will no longer be accepted. Students from mainland China will continue to use a dual-track system of online and in-person applications; during the pandemic, please make full use of the online application system.
Furthermore, considering that all those entering the country during the pandemic must undergo quarantine, the National Immigration Agency announced relevant border control and pandemic prevention measures on May 26, 2020, relaxing the requirements for foreigners holding residence visas entering the country during the pandemicto apply for Alien Resident Permits within 30 days of entry
